April 22 is Earth Day, and we're marking the occasion with crafts, celebrations, movies, a time capsule, and more!

Join us for our special programs before and after Earth Day and help us raise awareness about protecting the planet we all call home (and have a lot of fun at the same time)!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Earth Day Craft Program for Children
Children ages 4-10 will have fun assembling and decorating a craft project to celebrate Earth Day, using recycled materials and other supplies. All materials will be supplied.

Join Queens Library, the Department of Citywide Administrative Services, and Solar One for hands-on STEM activities! Solar One is a nonprofit sustainability education organization based in NYC. Throughout the workshops, Solar One educators will work with children and teens to explore energy efficiency, solar power, and more! Workshops include Wind Turbine Design, Building Batteries, and a Solar Car Building Workshop.

Up-cycled Craft Series
Sunday, April 22 is Earth Day! In celebration, Hillcrest will host an up-cycled craft series for kids where recycled materials are used! On 4/18, kids can create an Up-cycled book collage poster, and on 4/25, an Up-cycled flower pot.
