Celebrate the Lunar New Year!

Xin Nian Kuai Le! Join us as we celebrate the Lunar New Year at Queens Library!

The Lunar New Year is a centuries-old tradition in China and several other Asian countries, and it is a time to honor deities and ancestors, as well as make way for good fortune in the upcoming year.

At Queens Library, you can attend traditional Chinese concerts, make a lantern craft or origami, eat Korean desserts, listen to stories about the Lunar New Year, and much more!

We’ll also be marching for the second year at the Flushing Lunar New Year Parade on Saturday, February 9. We can’t wait to see you out there!

Don’t miss all of the ways you can celebrate the Year of the Pig with us!
